Post Frame

Post-frame construction involves the use of heavy poles or columns, generally set directly into the ground, and is also referred to as pole-barn construction. This is a highly engineered, wood frame building on a variety of different foundation options.  Foundations may include the placement of concrete columns directly into the ground, mounting of columns on a slab or even built over a basement, depending on need, location, and your preference.

Upper columns consist of heavy-duty laminated wood columns, with the choice of 4’ or 8’ spacing.  Heavy trusses at the top add additional stability to the overall structure.  This style supports a variety of exterior options. Dynamite Builders offers blown-in fiberglass insulation as an additional feature.

Stick Frame

The more “traditional” structural design, stick frame involves the use of studs in concrete footers, then traditionally framed out style utilizing interior walls for additional support.  The most common foundational style involves a solid concrete slab.  This is the structure underlying most residential buildings.  Dynamite Builders offers blown-in fiberglass insulation as an additional feature.
